Introducing VELAM, the latest addition to AKAMI!

This reel has innovations that clearly impact its incredible performance: it is a carbon rotor reel and a hybrid body in graphite and DIE CAST, an innovative concept that gives it great lightness combined with undeniable solidity.

Whether when launching the line or picking it up, VELAM is prepared to suffer as little impact as possible.

Its crank, manufactured in CNC, has a handle worthy of note for its comfort and softness, with SCREW-IN to screw directly onto the crown wheel, making it more solid and with tighter mechanics.

Its clutch button, which uses the QUICK system (for quick tightening and releasing), is combined with clutch discs that use PTFE as the basis of their construction, thus channeling advantages in terms of promoting less wear, less heating and greater impermeability, all of this with a DUPONT guarantee, made in the USA and with a promise of 20kg of force.

The new VELAM thus weighs only 551gr, and this weight may vary depending on the coil chosen.

It is worth mentioning that all the mechanics of this new machine are supported by sealed Japanese bearings, thus achieving protection against corrosive agents.

We also highlight the super slow oscillation reinforced with a double floating shaft, in order to allow better winding and have a more fluid line output, thus achieving longer casts. Suitable for surf casting and boat fishing, it comes with a larger capacity aluminum spool as well as a lower capacity graphite spool.
